This playful upcycled ring is made from sterling silver and recycled soda cans, turning everyday waste into wearable art. Each piece is cut by hand, with each pattern completely unique. No two rings are ever the same, they are truly one-of-a-kind eco-friendly jewels.
The ring is approximately 1 cm wide, bold enough to catch the eye while remaining lightweight and comfortable for everyday wear. It’s the perfect balance between statement jewelry and sustainable design.
I collect the cans myself from local restaurants and bars around Cape Town, giving them a bold new life on your fingers. This is not just recycling, it’s creative upcycling with purpose and personality.
The cuts are not random; I carefully select the most interesting parts of each can, often capturing quirky words, bold colors, or unexpected fragments of design. Every ring becomes a tiny work of wearable art, full of color and meaning.
The can piece is set and riveted directly onto the silver ring, secured in place with care and precision. Each ring is handmade in my Cape Town jewelry studio, blending contemporary craftsmanship with a love for reuse and reinvention.

This ring features a real piece of recycled soda can, carefully cut and hand-set. To keep it shining, gently wipe the aluminum with an oiled cloth – no water, no harsh products. Handle it with love to preserve its color and texture over time.
